Prepared for hot one today, our Oahu Hikers group split. One group went a more difficult route, while the other took an easier route. Yes, I was on the easy route.
Short hike. Me and one other had time constraints and came back pretty quickly. Hike started at 8am and I was back at the car by 10am.
Pu'u Papa'a has more to it than what's in the video as the remainder of the crew, I assume (haven't talked to them yet), completed the hike.
I saw enough to call it beautiful! :-).
See for yourself!
And some images....
Paved almost to the top....I said almost.
A few steps up and there's all kinds of excuses for me to stop and breathe.
Pretty cool shot showing the awesome view, the cloud cover and the sun beating down on us.
Heavy clouds back in the mountains.
A few beauties enjoying the beauty.
At the geodetic marker.
Showing off some talent on the bunker. Pretty awesome portrait.
Not long enough of a hike for Brian to take a nap, but he brought a chair.......ya know....to relax.
Nice shot over MCBH.
The crew hanging out.
Take one......be normal.
Take 2....Get crazy!
Ummmm take 3...put lipstick on the lady???
A little posing.
That marker I mentioned.
More amazing views with a great group of people. Love my church!
FMF (Fat-Man-Factor)(FMF is a difficulty scale from 1-10, from an out of shape, fat, white guy's point of view: 2 and that's only cuz fat boy doesn't like any dang thing uphill :D. Other than that, relatively safe and easy hike, and as always, with great views.
