The plan was to attempt Olomana again, but again I was rained out.
I thought Koko Crater arch would be nice, but Chris, of course, FORCED me to go beyond the arch, to the summit, across the ridge, to the top of the stairs and down the stairs. He should be ashamed of himself!
Left the camera in the van because I didn't want to get it wet. As it turns out, the GoPro 4 takes some pretty rad freakin images.
First the video so you can see for yourself my near death experiences......pay close attention to when you can literally hear my heart pounding LOL...ok, not laughing now, nor was I then, but it's kinda funny after the fact....kinda!
And those pretty rad images I told you about. Might have to take more pics with this thing....
All shots below taken with the iPhone 6+. Not too bad for a phone :-).
FMF (Fat-Man-Factor)(FMF is a difficulty scale from 1-10, from an out of shape, fat, white guy's point of view): 8 Listen, this was rough on the old man. I've been on much longer, but I'm certain this is the most challenging hike I've been on while in Hawaii, or anywhere else for that matter. 75% of it actually isn't that bad, but the 25% is steep, STEEP and MORE STEEP. Mentally and physically draining. Do your research. Don't try this crap at home. Again and again....I ain't your daddy....you do you and don't take my word for nuthin! Be safe!
