Hawaii Loa Ridge

Another Sunday hike with Oahu Hikers.  This time to Hawaii Loa Ridge.  I've been there before, but it was so cloudy I didn't take pictures.  Nice and clear today.  See the full gallery of images here.

Here's the video....

Ok, so I haven't wanted to beat someone else's children so bad in my life.  The kid 2nd from the right nearly gave me a heart attack.  He's sitting on the 4-5 inch ledge with his feet hanging off the edge.  One wrong move and there's no hope for him.  We did see them coming back down....so they lived :D

FMF (Fat-Man-Factor)(FMF is a difficulty scale from 1-10, from an out of shape, fat, white guy's point of view): 5 Kind of in the middle here.  Never really felt in danger, but it is a leg and lung killer.  Especially for this fat guy.  For the record, everyone else was fine and WAY ahead of me.  They would probably rank it easier, but if you wanted their opinions, you'd be reading their blogs :D.  Around 5 miles round trip.  Beautiful views on the way and at the top!  Be careful if it's been raining.  That would make this for one giant slip and slide.   As always, I ain't your daddy.  Most of ya can handle more than I can.  Some of ya can't.  You know you better than I do.  Hike at your own risk.
