Today, again with some Oahu Hikers, we tackle a short hike, Crouching Lion.
Read what the Fat Man thinks of this hike at the end.
First, the video...
And some images....
Lots of bikes out today.
Almost had a furry tagalong, but his owner came and got him.
The crew getting ready to head up.
First glimpse of Kahana Bay.
After a little climb the beauty of the bay grows.
Stopping to enjoy the view....a requirement if you're hiking with me. Well, you don't have to, but I'm gonna :-).
Bill capturing memories.
The crew ahead of us.
Ferdinand literally living on the edge.
The model, TV star, Kristina.
Half of the crew WAAAAY over there.
Ferdinand, again, on the edge.
FMF (Fat-Man-Factor)(FMF is a difficulty scale from 1-10, from an out of shape, fat, white guy's point of view): 4 At barely a mile and a half, it's not really difficult, but I bet if I did this hike 2 or 3 times a week, I'd be less fat! :-) A little steep going up, but again, it doesn't last long. Once you get up there, I suppose you could get yourself into some hairy positions, but I tend to avoid those, and did just that today :-).
As always, I ain't your daddy. Most of ya can handle more than I can. Some of ya can't. You know you better than I do. Hike at your own risk.
